My mom pulled out one of her craft magazines to show me a DIY article on making decorative planter stake gnomes. She asked if could make her a set. (My sister-in-law was charged recreating with the wooden planter). I snapped a photo of the page (bottom shot) so I could remember what they looked like when I got back home.
Of course, I had to change things up a little bit. They were really cute, but I couldn’t bring myself just to make round balls with eyes. Instead I gave the bodies a little more of an organic form. I added tiny flower and leaf details on their gnome caps to play up the natural aspects. Mom wanted them for her house plants so I traded the herb names with “Sun,” “Rain,” and “Love.” I think they turned out really sweet 🙂
Love your’s even more! Well done! 🙂
