Drunken Chicken

Drunken Chicken is appearing in the Artists in our Midst group show at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Altoona, Pa through December 30, 2022.

He was honored with a fourth-place award. I hope you can see this show in person, but in the meantime, I thought you would enjoy reading the origin story of Drunken Chicken.

Which came first?

Drunken Chicken started life as one of the polymer clay charters in my 2018 work In Vino Pax (In wine -Peace). I sculpted the chicken and the fox figures individually and then combined them in the final stages. This photo of the chicken in progress became the base for the later digital illustration.

In Vino Pax appeared in the juried art show at the Blair County Arts Fest in 2018 and took home second place. This sculpture was sold at the show and is now in a private collection.
