Garden planning for me is a long game. Ideas tend to dance around in my head for months, sometimes years, before they take corporeal form. Lately my mind has been wandering to Wonderland. I’m imagining a small garden nook celebrating “All Things Alice.”
Moving from planning to reality
The removal of an old metal shed behind our garage opened a space for the Wonderland garden nook to move from my mind and into the real world. My husband and I hauled in 19 bags of soil, 7 bags of gravel, and 8 paver stones to kick off this project. I seriously underestimated the amount of soil we would need.
Next steps: I need to level the site, refinish the furniture, and add plants. It won’t be finished until next fall, but I’ll share pics as things progress.
