Sunset arrives a little earlier in late summer, reminding me that autumn is nearing. During the months to come, my garden will shed its vibrant hues quieted under a blanket of snow.
Dwelling on what the colder months have in store comes far too easy for me, but for once I choose to be mindful of this moment. The quality of light is magical this time of year.
On this particular evening, the desire to lie in the grass and look up at the light was overwhelming. Something about seeing the sunset dance through the late summer plantings called to be preserved. When the cold months are upon us, the warmth of this moment will held in my memory thanks to these photos.
