Making Enchanted Deer Ornaments
Every Christmas season, I handcraft about 20 ornaments to give to my family and friends as gifts. They are a labor of love for sure! This year I choose an “enchanted deer” theme.
Whimsical holidays bring out our inner child. Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Saint Patricks Day are perfect events for whimsy. But did you know that you can make any day special when you embrace whimsy.

Tagged with Love: A week away from Christmas and we don’t have any snow on the ground. Fortunately, I photographed my wolf pup sculpture enjoying a snow day last winter. Now he’s starring on handmade gift tags to grace my family Christmas presents this year. Get your free printable! Want to use this pup on…
Pinterest is filled with gorgeous examples of whimsical winter-themed pots filled with warm lights and delicate curly willow branches. The look is lovely, yet until I have a clearer idea of what I want my personal take on the theme to be, I didn’t want to invest much money this year on my display. The…
Evette is coquettish, spirited, and glamorous. In other words, she is the exact opposite of introverted me 🙂 It is hilarious to picture me snuggled up in my favorite pink hoodie while I sculpted her big blue eyes. Sure, I can find a little sex appeal for a night out with the hubby, but for…

No beach house is complete without a whimsical one-of-a-kind cat mermaid ornament! Maybe she’s a “mer-cat” or maybe she’s a “cat-fish,” but this little glamour puss has big mermaid aspirations. She’d make a great gift for a water-loving cat parent or even a little luxury for yourself. Making of a Cat Mermaid Ornament I sculpted this sweet…
I knew that I had been exploring polymer covered egg shells for a while, but I hadn’t realized that they are starting to become “my thing.” This photo shows a portion of them. It seems that I can celebrate just about any occasion with an egg 🙂 If you’d like to read about some of…
With 6 cats who exhibit varying degrees of “badness,” we struggle with keeping them from exploring anything new, like say a tree with shiny, dangling objects on it. To keep the cats away from the Christmas tree, my husband put a can of SSSCAT Spray near the base. Here is the product description: “Keep your cat…
